New Leadership Strengthens Operations and Commercial Strategy
Steve Rubin, CEO and President of ITS Technologies & Logistics LLC (ITSTL) is pleased to announce the following organization changes, effective January 11, 2016, that will enhance the operational and commercial focus of the company subsequent to its recent acquisition of Atlantic Container Service.
Marc Bumgarner, current head of Business Development, will assume corporate commercial responsibilities as Vice President Sales & Marketing. He will oversee the commercial strategy for all lines of businesses. Marc has over 25 years of experience in the transportation industry, with the last 3 years being spent in various senior leadership capacities at our company.
We have also created a Chief Operating Officer (COO) position, to bring a single-minded focus and pursuit of continuous improvement in safety and service delivery across the ITSTL lines of businesses. William (Bill) Hamlin has joined ITSTL as COO, with responsibility for all operating activities at our U.S. facilities. Bill has decades of steamship, intermodal, equipment, depot and labor management experience. He was most recently COO of Horizon Lines, the largest U.S. domestic ocean carrier until its sale to Matson Lines last year; President of the Americas division at APL, responsible for all steamship activities in the U.S.; head of APL’s marine terminal business Eagle Marine; and held various equipment management positions at SeaLand. Ron Teague (ITS), Rene Etcharren (CGI) and Tony Schrader (AAW) will continue their executive operating responsibilities and organization oversight while reporting to Bill.
These changes strengthen our company’s ability to deliver an outstanding product to our customers, while retaining brand identity in the market.
Please join me in congratulating Marc on his new role, and in welcoming Bill to the ITSTL family.
